That reason is that wood, being a naturally occurring material, is plentiful and holds up well against natural elements. Because wood fencing contains only small metal parts (such as nails, or hinges), there is no corrosion at all. On top of this, if your wooden fence is properly stained, and sealed, there is very little chance of any sort of rot, or degradation!
